JET LAG

CLIMATE
The weather will be a determining factor in your Mont-Blanc course, although we can’t predict it until the last minute. Your guide may therefore decide to adjust the program to suit the weather.
The preparation days will be carried out according to the program, unless you decide to change the program at your own expense.
Mont Blanc cannot be climbed if the weather conditions do not permit. The decision to climb Mont-Blanc is yours and your guide’s alone. In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, you will not be reimbursed, but we may consider postponing the ascent until the following year (compulsory for 2 participants). If this is the case, we will ask you to spend two days in the mountains with a guide to prepare you for the ascent of Mont-Blanc.
If you and your guide decide to attempt an ascent of Mont Blanc during a period of bad weather, we will under no circumstances issue a refund in the event of failure.
HEALTH AND VACCINES
Physical level of participants
The course should enable you to tackle the Mont-Blanc in the best possible conditions. Even so, a minimum of physical preparation is required in the months leading up to the course. Very good physical preparation is essential and will enable you to really enjoy your days in the mountains. You’ll need to be able to walk between 5 and 10 hours a day over sometimes tricky terrain at altitude. We therefore advise you to prepare yourself by regularly practicing sports such as swimming, running, hiking and cycling at least 6 months before the start of the course, and to intensify your sessions 1 month before the course. You should also train to carry an 8-10 kg mountain pack to mimic the conditions of the course.
At the start of the course or at the end of the preparatory days, your guide may alert you to your abilities and may decide to adapt the program to your level, always in agreement with all the participants. No refunds will be given for program changes.
IFREMMONT
No specific indications.
Transport and conditions
Ground transportation is by private vehicle.
AIR
No specific indications.
LUGGAGE
You’ll only need to carry your gear for the day, except when you’re staying in a refuge for two days. Your other luggage is left at the hotel or on our premises when you sleep in a refuge. We recommend that you pack your travel gear in duffle bags, which are easier to carry.
The stay
MEALS
Breakfast and dinner are served in your accommodation. Lunch is not included, so you can bring your own picnic or choose to eat at refuges along the way.
You can also bring your favorite snacks.
If you have a special diet, please let us know as soon as possible.
ACCOMMODATION
During the course, you will stay in hotels and mountain huts. There are: 3 nights in a hotel in a twin room and 3 nights in a refuge in mixed dormitories.
TRAINING
Supervision by a French state-certified mountain guide. During your stay, there is one guide for every 2 people. He is the only one who can make important decisions for the course to run smoothly:
In the event of cancellation of the climb due to bad weather, we will offer you an alternative solution: another summit or postponement until the following year (must be for both people at the same time).
In the event of physical failure of at least one of the two people during the course, you will not be reimbursed. An alternative solution may be proposed in agreement with the other member of the group.
At the end of the preparatory days, your Guide will decide whether to go for the Mont Blanc ascent, or may suggest another summit (Grand Paradis or Mont Rose) if, in his opinion, the level of at least one person is too low to consider the Mont Blanc ascent. No refunds or price adjustments will be offered.
