CLIMATE
The weather will be a determining factor in your ascent of Mont Blanc, although we can only predict it at the last moment. The ascent will not be possible if the weather does not permit it. The decision rests solely with your guide. In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, you will not be reimbursed, but we may consider postponing the ascent until the following year (compulsory for 2 participants).
If you and your guide decide to attempt an ascent of Mont Blanc during a period of bad weather, we will under no circumstances issue a refund in the event of failure.
HEALTH AND VACCINES
Physical level of participants
In the months leading up to the climb, you’ll need to prepare yourself thoroughly. It’s essential and will enable you to really enjoy your days in the mountains. You’ll need to be able to walk between 5 and 10 hours a day on sometimes tricky terrain and at altitude. We therefore advise you to prepare yourself by regularly practicing sports such as swimming, running, hiking and cycling at least 6 months before the start of the course, and to intensify your sessions 1 month before the course. You should also train to carry an 8-10 kg mountain pack to mimic the conditions of the course.
Your guide can alert you to your abilities and can decide to adapt the program to your level. He may suggest another summit (Grand Paradis or Mont Rose) if, in his opinion, the level of at least one person is too low to consider climbing Mont Blanc. No refunds or price adjustments will be offered.
Land
You’ll be working in a variety of mountain and high-mountain terrain during the course. You need to be aware that the terrain you’ll be working on may be dangerous (crevasses, avalanches, rockfalls, falling seracs, sub-zero temperatures). We will be happy to provide you with further information.
