A complete change of scenery awaits you during this magnificent stay on Greenland’s east coast. The end-of-the-world atmosphere will enliven the hikes we take far above the small villages of the ice-isolated coast.
Our trip takes you to these wild, untouched lands through sumptuous hikes. The comfort of our accommodations will ensure you enjoy a unique stay in these remote lands.

Day 1: Flight France - Reykjavik
Flight from France to Reykjavik in Iceland. Free time in Iceland’s capital.
Day 2: Flight Reykjavik - Kulusuk - Tasiilaq
1 hour 40 flight – 2 hours walk – Overnight in gîte
Flight Reykjavik – Kulusuk. First discovery of Greenland, arriving at the small village of Kulusuk. Transfer by helicopter to the capital Tasiilaq. Settle into your accommodation and explore the surrounding area.
Ideally, you’ll pass over the Basei pass at over 3,000 m, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views.
Day 3: Tasiilaq
2 hours 30 by boat – 5 hours’ walk – Overnight in B&B – D+: 500 m / D-: 500 m
We hike above the village and discover for the first time these grandiose landscapes. The snow also surprises us with its consistency and quality due to the local climate. Discover the village and local life.
Overnight in a village gîte with shower and WC.
Day 4: Tasiilaq - Tiniteqilaaq
5 hours’ walk – Overnight in gîte – D+: 1050 m / D-: 1050 m
Today we travel by traditional local transport, thanks to sled dogs. This mode of transport is widely used by the Inuit. We’re going to spend a wonderful long day with them. Depending on snow conditions, some parts of the journey can be made on foot. At the end of the day, we arrive at the small village of Tiniteqilaq.

Day 5: Tiniteqilaaq
1 hour by boat – 5 hours’ walk – Overnight accommodation – D+: 500 m / D-: 500 m
Hike around the village, depending on snow conditions, to remote and beautiful areas. The grandeur of the area takes us by surprise, with glaciers plunging into the water. The contrasts are magnificent as we traverse the wild valleys typical of Greenland. The views over the Sermilik fjord are breathtaking. Return to the village at the end of the day.
Overnight in a comfortable gîte with shared shower in the village.
Day 6: Tiniteqilaaq - Kuumiut
45 minutes by boat – 5 hours’ walk – Overnight in B&B – D+: 500 m / D-: 500 m
This morning we set off by snowmobile and then by boat to the small, remote village of Kumiiuut. Discover the village at the end of the day.
Overnight in a basic gîte with shower and toilet facilities in the village.
Day 7: Kuumiut
5 hours’ walk – Overnight in gîte – D+: 600 m / D-: 600 m
The Ammassalik fjord offers us the best of Greenland’s panoramas: fjords, snow-capped peaks, isolated villages and bluish ice. This is what awaits us on this last beautiful day of snowshoeing.

Day 8: Kuumiut - Kulusuk
2-hour boat trip – Overnight at hotel
Morning boat transfer to Kulusuk. Last snowshoeing trip possible in the afternoon. Or discover the village and Inuit culture.
Day 9: Flight Kulusuk - Reykjavik
1 hour 40 flight – Overnight in hotel
Morning flight to Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik. Transfer to the Blue Lagoon and swim in the hot springs.
Dinner on your own.
Day 10: Flight Reykjavik - France
Flight Reykjavik – France
Meals at your own expense.

Beware of restrictive clauses in certain insurance policies (particularly those linked to Visa Premier, Gold or other cards), such as mountain insurance limited to snow activities, or altitude sickness not recognized as an illness requiring repatriation, which will be refused.

CLIMATE
The climate on Greenland’s east coast is arctic to subarctic, with daytime temperatures ranging from 0 to 10°C in summer. Summer temperatures sometimes exceed 20°C. Rainfall can be frequent, but is very short and in the form of snow.
The air, of remarkable quality, is very dry, and we recommend drinking plenty of fluids.
Sunshine is mixed, but relatively strong when the sky is clear.
In winter, temperatures plummet, but rarely drop above -20°C. This is when spectacular aurora borealis can be seen at night. It’s at this time of year that spectacular aurora borealis can be seen at night.
The weather can change very quickly in this area close to the coast.

Transport and conditions
During your stay, you can travel by private boat, dog sled or snowmobile. Optional helicopter on day 2, depending on conditions.

LUGGAGE
You’ll carry only your gear for the day. You will carry your luggage between the boat and your accommodation.
We recommend that you place your belongings in duffle bags, which are easier to carry.
The stay
MEALS
Breakfast and dinner will be served in the accommodation. We provide a picnic lunch every morning. Your guides will prepare a variety of meals for you in the mornings and evenings, based on the food available on site, most of which comes from Iceland.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies when you register.
ACCOMMODATION
In Iceland, we stay in a comfortable hotel in Reykjavik on a 2-person basis (twin or double).
In Greenland, accommodation is in a heated gîte in a common room with mattresses on the floor, including :
- 2 nights including bathroom and shower facilities in shared accommodation
- 5 nights including sanitary facilities and showers outside the accommodation. Showers and toilets are in a community building close to the gîte.
TRAINING
Supervision by a qualified French mountain leader. For groups of 8 or more, a second guide will join the group.

For French, Belgian, Luxembourg and Swiss nationals:
– Your identity card or passport valid for 3 months after your return date.
As these formalities may change, please check with the country’s consular authorities. All travelers are responsible for complying with entry requirements in the countries they visit.

BUDGET, CHANGE AND TIPS
The currency in Iceland is the Icelandic krona (ISK). The indicative rate is : 1 € = 149 ISK in June 2024. The currency in Greenland is the Danish krone (DKK). The indicative rate is : 1 € = 7.45 DKK in June 2024. It is possible to use your credit card in the villages. The stay is all-inclusive from departure to arrival. Only personal expenses (drinks, etc.) are not included in the price.
