Day 1: Argentière - Col du Tour Noir

Night in refuge – collective dormitory – D+: 600m / D-: 800m

We’ll start our adventure by taking the Plan Joran lift at Les Grands Montets to reach the starting point at Bochard.

From here, we begin our traverse of the Glacier de Lognan, gradually climbing to the Col des Rachasses, which culminates at 3037 metres. Our route then takes us across the Glacier des Rognons, before crossing the majestic Glacier d’Argentière.

The refuge is close at this point, but if you’re in search of an even more adventurous experience, it’s possible to continue climbing by crossing other glaciers, with the option of reaching higher peaks, such as the Col du Tour Noir, which rises to 3535 meters above sea level.

Day 2: Col du Passon - Refuge Albert 1er

Night in refuge – collective dormitory – D+: 800m / D-: 700m

After a short descent from the hut onto the Glacier d’Argentière, you’ll put on your skins to begin the ascent to the Col du Passon, at an altitude of 3028 meters.

The ascent to the Col du Passon requires a walk with skis on your back and the use of crampons, as the slope, although steep, is still accessible.

Once at the summit, you’ll be rewarded with a superb moderate descent, crossing the Glacier du Tour to reach the Albert 1er refuge.

Day 3 - Tête Blanche ascent

D+: 850m / D-: 1750m

We begin a gradual ascent across the Tour glacier, eventually reaching the summit of Tête Blanche at 3487 meters.
