Day 1: Ascent to Refuge de Bostan - Tête de Bostan

Night in refuge – collective dormitory – D+: from 1,370m / D-: 570m

Imagine yourself at the starting point of your weekend in the charming hamlet of Les Allamands, in the commune of Samoëns. Your adventure begins with a forest traverse that prepares you for the breathtaking view of the Bostan valley.

As you climb, you’ll be rewarded with exceptional panoramic views, including the majestic Pointe du Tuet and the imposing Dents d’Oddaz. The rest of the expedition takes you along a wilder trail to the refuge, perched at 1763 meters above sea level.

If the group is in good shape, you can even continue the adventure by climbing to the Col, then to the summit of the tête de Bostan, culminating at 2,406 meters above sea level. An unforgettable experience awaits you!

Day 2: Dents Blanches Occidentales

D+: from 830m / D-: 1800m

From the refuge, our next stage takes us to the emblematic Dents Blanches. Our objective for the day is to climb the Dents Blanches Occidentales, which rise to 2,709 meters above sea level. However, depending on the level of the group and weather conditions, our guide may suggest other itineraries for the day.

Either way, you’ll have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the beauty and wildness of this place during this exceptional guided day.

Send us your registration with a copy of your passport, your postal address, telephone number and e-mail address, together with a deposit of 30% of the cost of the trip.
Also, if you wish to take out a Comfort or Comfort Multirisk cancellation insurance policy, this must be paid at the same time as the deposit when you register. You can consult our insurance contracts on our website.

ATTENTION: air fares will be maintained until 3 months before departure and may be readjusted if necessary if you book during this period.

ASSISTANCE AND SAFETY

We strongly advise you to take out assistance insurance for the duration of your trip.

We offer two different types of insurance: Comfort Cancellation and Comfort Multirisk, to be taken out when you register for your trip.

Other offers include Mondial Assistance, your own insurance company or Club Alpin Français. Check that your trekking activity is covered.

Make sure your insurance covers all medical expenses in the event of an accident.

You must make sure that you are covered for mountain rescue costs. If this is the case, you must provide us with the following information before you set off on your trek:

  • a certificate from the insurance company covering mountain rescue costs.
  • the contract number and telephone number of the assistance center

Beware of restrictive clauses in certain insurance policies (particularly those linked to Visa Premier, Gold or other cards), such as mountain insurance limited to snow activities, or altitude sickness not recognized as an illness requiring repatriation, which will be refused.

Please check the actual content of your insurance and take the necessary steps if necessary.

Health & climate

CLIMATE

Summer and winter alike, temperatures in the mountains vary with altitude, and the way they feel can be greatly affected by the intensity of the wind.

In the event of bad weather, the guide may have to modify the itinerary or the program. If it really isn’t possible to go out into the field, the trip may have to be postponed.
No refund is possible in the event of unfavorable conditions.

HEALTH AND VACCINES

No vaccinations required.

We strongly recommend that you are up to date with the usual vaccinations: diphtheria-tetanus-poliomyelitis, whooping cough, tuberculosis, typhoid fever, hepatitis A and B.

We recommend that you have a check-up with your dentist before you leave.

IFREMMONT

No specific indications.

Transport and conditions

Meet in the hamlet of Les Allamands on D1. Transport to and from the hamlet of Les Allamands is not included in the price, but it is possible to carpool from Samoëns.

LUGGAGE

You carry all your personal belongings for the duration of your stay.

MEALS

Picnic lunches prepared by us or taken at the refuge. Dinner on D1 and breakfast on D2 are taken at the refuge.

Snacks are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you have a special diet.

ACCOMMODATION

1 night in a mountain refuge, in a collective dormitory.

TRAINING

Supervision by a French state-certified mountain guide, for 6 people maximum.
